Based on the first floor of the famed Zaentz Media Center in Berkeley, California, Fantasy Studios is comprised of three historic rooms recently renovated to meet the latest standards in recording. Studio A, which is one of the most requested tracking rooms on the West coast, has been the recording home of such superstars as Santana, Green Day, Aerosmith, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Counting Crows and many, many others.
All three rooms are fully equipped with Studer analog as well as ProTools HD. Complete ISDN services are provided linking Fantasy Studios to other studios worldwide. Fantasy Studios boasts the largest selection of vintage and new microphones and outboard gear in Northern California. Two rooms are equipped with top quality pianos that have been featured on many famous tracks.
All of the large rooms at Fantasy Studios are also available for film, video, photography, Internet streaming, and performance events. The facility houses one of the most comprehensive collections of transfer and editing equipment on the West coast, offering the ability to digitize audio from almost any format in existence.
Fantasy Studios was launched in 1971 as the in-house facility for Fantasy Records. The studio doors were opened to the public in 1980.
