Adam Muñoz-House Engineer

Adam Muñoz was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. Fresh out of high school, armed
with the love for and mastery of all things electronic, he moved to Orlando, Florida to
attend one of the premier media arts schools in the world, Full Sail University. He graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Recording Arts and was immediately hired at Brilliant Studios in San Francisco. He relocated to the Bay Area for the job and has lived there ever since. Shortly after his stint as a staff assistant engineer at Brilliant, he was hired at the famed Different Fur Recording Studios as a staff engineer. Muñoz stayed at
Different Fur for 12 years until owners Howard Johnston and Susan Skaggs sold it, in 2004.
Immediately thereafter, Muñoz went out on his own continuing to produce and engineer a myriad of projects at every major studio in the Bay Area. Throughout his entire career, Muñoz has worked with musicians from varied genres. He has assisted on projects by artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Bobby McFerrin, Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, The Cranberries, Paula Cole, Chris Isaak and George Winston. He has engineered and/or mixed albums by Sixpence None the Richer, Hank Williams III, Bill Frisell, Penelope Houston, Charlie
hunter, Fiji, Matt Nathanson and Victor Krauss/Lyle Lovitt. Muñoz was also an additional
engineer on the 2007 Victor Krauus album, II, which earned a Grammy nomination for “Best Engineered Non-Classical Album.” Muñoz enjoys working with local Bay Area artists and has produced and/or engineered projects by Audrye Sessions, Dolorata, Mystic Roots, Blame Sally (with producer Lee Townsend), Secondhand Seranade and Lick.

Muñoz’ versatility and expertise landed him a gig as staff engineer at Fantasy Studios in
October 2008.
